NY Counts 2020 hosted a webinar with Jeff Behler, Regional Director of the Census Bureau and Meeta Anand, Census 2020 Senior Fellow of the NYIC in counting people experiencing homelessness in the 2020 Census.
The webinar discussed how the homeless count is done and how TNSOL (targeted non sheltered outdoor location) and SBE (service-based enumeration) work and how local governments, CBOs, and individuals can help make sure all the homeless are counted in this year’s Census. As a reminder, People experiencing homelessness will be counted where they are staying when census takers visit between September 22-24.
